Avatar: Seven Havens premieres with twin Avatars

Published 9 October 2026

The first three episodes of Avatar: Seven Havens, a new animated series set in the Avatar universe, premiered on Paramount on October 9. The story introduces twin protagonists Pavi and Nisha, both presented as Avatars, in a world reshaped by a catastrophe and wary of the figure they represent. Set about 225 years after The Legend of Korra, the series depicts humanity living in fortified havens amid dangerous surrounding lands. Its opening episodes focus on Ellora, a haven where residents distrust Avatars and regard Korra as responsible for the Cataclysm that changed the world. The episodes have not established whether that account is true: it is conveyed through local history and characters’ beliefs. Pavi, a young earthbender, discovers that she can also bend air, while the story reveals that Nisha, her twin sister, is also an Avatar. The sisters have been separated and lack memories of their shared past. Their circumstances and the reason for their dual status remain unexplained in the first three episodes. The new setting replaces the earlier series’ familiar nations and cities with isolated communities protected by walls.
