Arsenal rally to beat Leeds 2-1

Published 10 October 2026

Arsenal came from behind to beat Leeds United 2-1 on Saturday, October 10, as second-half goals from Riccardo Calafiori and substitute Bruno Guimarães secured a Premier League victory at the Emirates Stadium. Leeds took the lead in the 55th minute when James Justin finished from inside the box after a move down the left and a pass from Gabriel Gudmundsson. Arsenal levelled seven minutes later: Ben White headed the ball across goal, and Calafiori scored from close range. Guimarães completed the comeback in the 70th minute, driving a low shot into the bottom corner after Declan Rice set him up. The Brazilian midfielder had come on as part of a triple substitution, alongside Viktor Gyökeres and Jurriën Timber. His goal was his second for Arsenal, following a strike against Sunderland last month. The result lifted Arsenal to 15 points, level with Manchester City, which remained ahead on goal difference and had played one fewer match. Leeds stayed on nine points after six matches, according to the reported standings. Arsenal had struggled to create clear chances before the break against a well-organised Leeds side.
