Published 10 October 2026

Arizona defeated West Virginia 52-31 on October 10 in Morgantown, extending its winning streak to four games and handing the Mountaineers their third consecutive loss. The Wildcats improved to 5-1, while West Virginia fell to 3-3. Arizona quarterback Noah Fifita completed 16 of 23 passes for 341 yards and three touchdowns. Isaiah Mizell caught six passes for 183 yards and two scores, including a 72-yard touchdown that helped Arizona pull ahead 38-24 late in the third quarter. The Wildcats won despite missing three of their top wide receivers, who were out with injuries, according to a game account. Arizona also scored on runs by Antwan Roberts, Quincy Craig and Kedrick Reescano, and Lee Molette III returned a West Virginia fumble 32 yards for a touchdown. West Virginia produced 522 yards of offense, including 303 rushing, but costly turnovers and missed opportunities limited its scoring. Running back Cam Cook gained 141 yards and scored twice, while losing two first-half fumbles. Molette’s return followed one of those turnovers. The Mountaineers also had several first-half possessions inside Arizona’s 5-yard line that yielded only 10 points, according to the game accounts.
