Apple launches iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max globally
Apple's iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max went on sale globally on September 18, marking the start of the company's latest flagship smartphone launch. The devices became available in more than 65 countries and regions, with a second wave of 20 additional markets scheduled for September 25. Pricing for the iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199 in the United States, while the Pro Max begins at $1,299. Both models offer storage options up to 2TB, a new ceiling for iPhones. In Canada, the unlocked starting prices are C$1,749 and C$1,899, respectively. The phones are available in four finishes: black, silver, glacier, and a new burgundy color. Early sales data from Singapore's Gain City retailer indicated strong initial demand for the new burgundy color, which accounted for 46% of sales on launch day. The Pro Max model represented 78% of units sold at that location. At Apple's flagship Orchard Road store in Singapore, a single buyer purchased 31 iPhone 18 Pro Max units before 8:25 a.m. local time. The launch is accompanied by significant repair costs. Apple's official pricing lists screen repairs at $329 for the iPhone 18 Pro and $379 for the Pro Max.
