Apple Has Not Confirmed Ted Lasso Season 5
Apple has not confirmed a fifth season of Ted Lasso, despite the Season 4 finale leaving several storylines open. Brendan Hunt, the series’ co-creator and the actor who plays Coach Beard, said he had received no official indication that the show would continue and was unaware of Jason Sudeikis’s plans. Hunt described the finale’s unresolved developments as questions rather than cliffhangers. Among the possibilities he mentioned were Ted and Beard working as peers, Roy Kent and Keeley Jones becoming parents, Rebecca Welton’s marriage, and how AFC Richmond’s women’s team responds to Alice Chilton as its leader. He said there was no indication those stories would be continued. The finale reshaped the club’s coaching staff. Ted stepped down as manager of the women’s team, recommending Alice for the role, and became an assistant alongside Beard. Hunt said Ted’s decision was driven in part by wanting to spend more time with his son, Henry. Ted promises Henry he will try to attend more of his games. Roy accepted a job managing Chelsea, leaving Richmond’s men’s team without a manager.
