Apple Music Logo Appears in iOS and macOS Betas
A redesigned Apple Music logo has appeared in the third developer betas of iOS 27.2 and macOS 27.2, indicating that Apple may be preparing to use the mark beyond promotional material for its London venue. The company has not confirmed a broader branding change, and its public website and web player still show the existing logo. The updated design was previously seen in materials announcing Apple Music Hall at Battersea Power Station. Its presence in both software betas has strengthened the possibility that the change is intended for the streaming service more widely, rather than being limited to the venue. Reports also described the logo in promotional social media content, though Apple has not publicly explained where or when it plans to use it. The beta logo changes the appearance of the word “Music,” using lowercase letters and a heavier typeface. That makes the wordmark wider than the previous version. The reports do not establish whether the design shown in the developer software is final or whether Apple will adopt it across all Apple Music branding. Apple’s public Apple Music website and web player continued to display the older mark in checks described in the reports.
