Apple Announces Fourth-Generation Apple TV 4K

Published 13 October 2026

Apple announced a redesigned fourth-generation Apple TV 4K on October 13, adding an A19 chip, hands-free Siri controls and a remote-finding feature. Preorders opened that day, and Apple has scheduled the device to go on sale November 13, 2026. The US price is $299, with regional prices including £299 in the UK, ₹39,900 in India and C$429 in Canada. The new model adds three built-in far-field microphones, allowing users to speak to Siri without pressing the remote or using a paired HomePod. Apple says its updated voice assistant can answer conversational questions about shows, respond to follow-up questions and help viewers find something to watch. Siri AI is offered in beta and requires compatible devices and software for some functions. Apple says Siri AI will also be available on Apple TV 4K models from the second generation onward. The company’s stated requirements include a compatible Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad belonging to the Home app’s owner, running current software with Siri AI enabled and set to a supported language. Personalized requests have additional requirements.
