Amazon Discounts M5 MacBook Air by $200

Amazon discounted the 13-inch M5 MacBook Air to $1,099 during its October Prime sale, putting the 16GB memory, 512GB storage configuration $200 below Apple’s stated $1,299 list price. Reports also listed the 15-inch model at $1,299, down $200 from its stated $1,499 list price. The 13-inch offer was reported on October 5 and again on October 6 and October 7. Deal coverage characterized the $1,099 price as a return to the model’s launch price after a $200 increase. The supplied reports do not include historical listing records, so the price history is based on their descriptions rather than independent transaction data. The 15-inch price was reported on October 5. That listing was described as having 1TB of storage and including up to three months of access to Apple Arcade, Fitness and News. Those details were reported for that offer; the available information does not establish how long the price or extras remained available. Amazon’s sale was described as a limited-time event, but reports differed on its timing. One account said the sale window ran through October 7, while another described October Prime Day as launching October 6.
