Xreal sets Aura smart glasses prices starting at $1,279

Published 7 October 2026

Xreal announced prices for its Aura smart glasses on October 7, setting the starting price at $1,279 for a model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. A higher-capacity version with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage will cost $1,499, the company said. Aura combines glasses with a separate computing device, or puck, that runs Android XR. Xreal says the glasses weigh about 95 grams and have a 70-degree field of view. The company has described the product as spatial-computing eyewear rather than a conventional virtual-reality headset. The puck provides the processing and can also function as a trackpad, according to the reports. Xreal says it expects to ship Aura before the holidays in the United States, Canada, Japan and South Korea. It has said additional markets are expected in 2027. Those are company plans; the reports do not establish that shipments have begun or confirm a delivery date for individual customers. The route to ordering is not fully clear from the available descriptions. Xreal says customers who made paid reservations can complete their purchases for priority fulfillment, and the company is continuing a $199 Priority Deposit program.
