Twenty Earn 2027 PGA Tour Cards, Lamb Takes Final Spot

Published 12 October 2026

Twenty players earned PGA Tour cards for the 2027 season after the Korn Ferry Tour Championship, with Davis Lamb claiming the final spot and Cole Hammer finishing just outside the qualifying group. The cards went to the top 20 players in the final season standings. Lamb moved up three places to finish 20th, while Hammer dropped from 20th to 22nd after a final-round 73 left him tied for 43rd in the tournament. Hammer entered the championship on the bubble after a strong season that included three early top-five finishes and a runner-up result at the Utah Championship. He had also climbed to 18th with consecutive sixth- and seventh-place finishes in September, before slipping back to 20th ahead of the season-ending event. He began the championship with a 72, then rallied with rounds of 67 and 69 to put himself in contention for his first PGA Tour card. But five bogeys in the final round ended that opportunity. Hammer told the Korn Ferry Tour after the round that poor ball striking had hurt him, and that consecutive bogeys on his eighth and ninth holes cost him momentum. Hammer said he was dejected by the result but continued to believe in himself.
