Trailer previews Anderson’s Cameron Winter concert film
A new trailer previews Paul Thomas Anderson’s concert film Cameron Winter at Carnegie Hall, documenting the Geese frontman’s solo performance at the New York venue. The film is scheduled for select-city 35mm theatrical screenings beginning November 20, 2026. The teaser shows Winter at the piano and includes a brief excerpt from “Drinking Age,” a song from his solo album Heavy Metal. It also offers glimpses of the crowd gathering at Carnegie Hall. The film’s official synopsis says Winter returned to New York in December 2025, after a months-long sold-out tour with Geese, to play a single show. Winter was 23 at the time of the performance. The concert was recorded for the live album Live at Carnegie Hall, released October 9, 2026. The film presents the performance visually, with Anderson shooting on 35mm film. Janus Films and Criterion are supervising the touring theatrical release, according to the announced arrangements. The trailer includes only a short section of “Drinking Age,” rather than a full performance. The film also follows activity beyond the stage, including backstage preparations, according to its preview.
