Toy Story 5 to Stream on Disney+ Starting September 23

Published 28 August 2026

Disney and Pixar have confirmed that the billion-dollar blockbuster Toy Story 5 will begin streaming on Disney+ on September 23, 2026. The announcement, made on August 27, sets the home release date for the film, which has already earned over $1.13 billion at the global box office since its theatrical premiere on June 19. The streaming debut will allow subscribers to watch the film as part of the platform's Toy Story Collection. This follows the movie's digital purchase release on August 18 and precedes the physical 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray release scheduled for September 22. The film will also be available for streaming on JioHotstar for audiences in India. Toy Story 5, directed by Andrew Stanton with Kenna Harris as co-director, continues the story of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie under the care of their owner, Bonnie. The central conflict involves the toys competing for Bonnie's attention after she receives a new tablet device named Lilypad, voiced by Greta Lee. The film features returning voice actors Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, and Joan Cusack as Jessie, along with an ensemble cast including Conan O'Brien, Tony Hale, and Keanu Reeves.
