Edo State police are investigating the death of Ambrose Alli University lecturer Matthew Uwuigbe, who was found dead in a hotel room in Ekpoma, and have detained three people in connection with the case, the police said. The cause of death has not been disclosed. The reports place the hotel in the Mosco area of Ekpoma, in Esan West Local Government Area. They differ on the weekday associated with October 5, with accounts describing it as Sunday or Monday.
