NYPD Seeks Man After Bronx Mother and Infant Fall From Balcony

Published 7 October 2026

Nathaly Ramirez, 23, died after she and her 8-month-old daughter fell from a Bronx apartment building balcony early Tuesday, Oct. 6, and police are investigating the fall as a homicide. The baby, who was critically injured, had improved to stable condition by Wednesday, police said. Authorities have reported no arrests. Police said Ramirez was holding her daughter when both fell from the building’s 15th floor, at 2550 Olinville Avenue in the Allerton neighborhood, at about 3:30 a.m. The child was taken to Jacobi Hospital with severe head injuries. Ramirez was pronounced dead there. Police have not publicly detailed what evidence establishes how the fall occurred. On Wednesday, the NYPD identified 31-year-old Angel Carrasco as wanted in connection with the incident and asked the public to help locate him. The department said Carrasco and Ramirez had been in a relationship. No arrest had been made, and the investigation remained ongoing. A separate account from law-enforcement sources said detectives were seeking to question Ramirez’s former boyfriend, while noting that he had not been directly linked to the incident or officially identified as a suspect in that account.
