Northlake Police Arrest Woman After Family Found Stabbed
Northlake police arrested Holly Flores after her husband and two young children were found with stab wounds at their home early October 6, authorities said. Police reported preliminary charges against Flores of two counts of attempted capital murder and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The three injured family members were hospitalized, and police said they were expected to survive. Officers were dispatched at about 4:20 a.m. after a man called 911 and reported that his wife had stabbed him, according to police. They found the man with a wound to his head and a 3-year-old girl and a 10-month-old boy with wounds to their chests. Police Chief Robert Crawford said the husband was trying to get to the children during the incident. The reports did not establish whether he was their father. Police said Flores, 37, was detained and taken for medical treatment before being booked into Denton County Jail. Authorities described her charges as preliminary. The allegations have not been adjudicated, and the supplied reports did not indicate whether she had retained legal counsel.
