The Voice Season 30 Premieres With New Coaches and Format Changes

The Voice Season 30 launched its milestone 30th season with a three-night premiere event on NBC, beginning Monday, September 21, 2026. The new season introduces a revamped coaching panel and significant format changes, including a new strategic button and the return of live shows. Returning coaches Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson are joined by first-time coaches Queen Latifah and country artist Riley Green. The premiere week features Blind Auditions spread across three episodes, airing on September 21, 22, and 23, 2026. A key innovation this season is the First-In Button, a new tool that allows the first coach to turn their chair for an artist to claim them for their team before the artist makes a final decision. Each coach can use the button only once per season. During the first night of auditions, Queen Latifah used the button to secure 16-year-old singer Mia Knight for her team. Executive producer Audrey Morrissey confirmed another major change: the return of live shows. After a previous season without them, Season 30 will feature six weeks of live episodes with real-time voting. "We're going to have six weeks of live shows," Morrissey stated.
