SoundCloud Launches Direct Music Sales for Artists

SoundCloud is rolling out a new feature that allows artists to sell music directly to fans through their profiles, with the platform taking no commission on sales. The beta, which launched on August 26, 2026, is initially available to approximately 200 U.S.-based creators with the Artist Pro subscription. A wider rollout to all eligible creators is planned for later this autumn. The feature enables fans to purchase and download tracks in formats such as MP3 and WAV without leaving the SoundCloud platform. Artists can set their own prices and will receive 100 percent of each sale, excluding standard processing fees and taxes.
