Skydance Names Leadership Ahead of Expected Deal Close

Skydance announced a senior leadership team on October 5 for the planned combination of Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery, naming James Gunn and Peter Safran co-chairmen of DC Studios. The announcement came before the deal’s expected close on Tuesday, October 6; the reports do not establish that the transaction has been completed. The announced roster places David Ellison as chairman and chief executive officer and Ynon Kreiz as co-CEO. Other named appointments include Casey Bloys as co-chair and chief content officer of Skydance DTC, and George Cheeks as co-chair and chief content officer of Skydance TV. Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein will co-chair the motion picture group, while JB Perrette will serve as co-chair and chief business officer for both Skydance TV and Skydance DTC. The leadership list also names Andy Gordon as president; Dennis Cinelli as chief financial officer; Makan Delrahim as chief legal officer and president of global corporate affairs; Dane Glasgow as chief product officer; Rebecca Mall as chief marketing officer; and Melissa Zukerman as chief communications officer.
