Shedeur Sanders Hires First NFL Agent

Published 14 October 2026

Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders has hired Adie von Gontard of Young Money APAA Sports as his first NFL agent, according to reporting by Adam Schefter. Sanders had represented himself through the 2025 draft and the start of his professional career. The agency also represents Travis Hunter, Sanders’ former Colorado teammate and current Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback. The hiring is confirmed, but there is no confirmed trade request from Sanders. Anonymous league sources cited in reports said they believed the move could be groundwork for a request to leave Cleveland. Those sources were not directly tied to Sanders’ family, and the agency had not immediately commented in the accounts. Sanders’ reason for hiring an agent has not been publicly established in the supplied reporting. Sanders is in his second NFL season and has served as Deshaun Watson’s backup in Cleveland’s first five games of 2026. He has not started this season, following a quarterback competition won by Watson. The Browns were 3-2 in the reports. The NFL trade deadline is November 10 at 4 p.m.
