Sekonda launches £79.99 smart ring with no subscription

Sekonda, the British jewellery and watchmaker established in 1966, has launched its first smart ring at £79.99 with no monthly subscription fee, positioning the device as a significantly cheaper alternative to Oura, whose newest model starts from £399. The Sekonda Smart Ring is designed to monitor sleep quality, heart rate, stress levels, blood oxygen, skin temperature trends, HRV and respiratory rate throughout the day and night, and it also offers women's cycle tracking. It syncs with Apple Health and Google Health Connect and works with apps including Flo, Clue, Natural Cycles and Balance. The ring is made from stainless steel and comes in six sizes, ranging from 7 to 12, in gold and silver finishes. Battery life is rated at five to seven days, with up to five additional charges from the included portable charging case. The box also contains a USB cable and a silicone protective cover for activities such as weight training. A sizing kit can be requested before purchase.
