Sanchez, Tole and Fox Reach Civil Settlement Agreement
Former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez, Perry Tole and Fox Corporation have reached an agreement in principle to resolve Tole’s civil lawsuit over an October 2025 altercation in Indianapolis, according to court filings. The settlement terms have not been disclosed, and the agreement does not resolve Sanchez’s separate criminal case. The parties notified the court of the civil agreement in early October. Tole’s lawyers are expected to seek dismissal of the lawsuit by January 8, 2027, after settlement documents are completed. The agreement in principle is not itself a court dismissal. A court order also canceled evidence-gathering and trial-related deadlines and dismissed pending motions, according to a report citing the order. Tole, a truck driver, sued Sanchez and Fox Corporation, seeking damages for injuries he said he suffered in the altercation. His complaint alleged serious, lasting injuries and disfigurement; those claims have not been established as findings in the supplied court reporting. The case arose from a confrontation near an Indianapolis hotel where Tole was collecting used cooking oil.
