Robinhood Chain Activity Slows as Transactions Fall 42%

Published 11 October 2026

Robinhood Chain activity slowed sharply in early October, with daily transactions and spot trading volume falling while decentralized finance deposits remained above $1 billion. Robinhood is continuing to cover network fees on eligible wallet swaps through December 31, 2026, extending a promotion that had been scheduled to end in September. The blockchain averaged 6.2 million transactions a day from October 2 to October 8, down 42% from 10.8 million in mid-September and 20% from the preceding week, according to calculations using growthepie data. Average daily active addresses fell 31% from mid-September to about 322,000. Address counts do not represent a direct count of individual users, because one person can control multiple addresses. Spot trading volume fell 21% week over week to $7.45 billion, from $9.46 billion. Uniswap accounted for about 77% of spot activity. Network fees declined 39% from the previous week to approximately $65,000 a day, compared with about $8 million collected on the chain’s busiest day in early September. Other indicators moved in different directions.
