Ripple and Privy Bring Embedded Wallets to XRP Ledger

Published 14 October 2026

Ripple and Privy, the wallet infrastructure company owned by Stripe, announced an integration that will let developers build XRP Ledger wallets into their apps, supporting payments in XRP, Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin and other assets on the network. The companies also said developers will be able to use the wallets for automated payments by software agents, including through the x402 payment system. The integration is intended to let users make payments inside an app without setting up or managing a separate crypto wallet. Developers will be able to create and manage wallets programmatically and sign transactions through Privy’s infrastructure. Privy says users can export their keys or recovery phrases if they want to move a wallet elsewhere. The announcement describes a capability for developers, not reported use in a named application. The companies did not identify a launch partner or specify that payments must settle in XRP. The supported assets include RLUSD and other digital assets issued on the XRP Ledger, so the announcement does not establish which assets developers or users will choose.
