Rick Devens Wins Big Brother 28 in 6-1 Jury Vote

Published 2 October 2026

Rick Devens won Big Brother 28, defeating Taylor Brown in a 6-1 jury vote in the season finale. The result made Devens the season’s winner; he also received the fan-voted America’s Favorite Houseguest award, according to the finale account. Devens said in an interview that he was surprised by the victory, describing it as redemption after twice reaching the end of Survivor without winning. He said he had thought he might fall short several times during the final weeks of Big Brother. The finale’s final decision followed a Head of Household competition between Devens, Brown and Drew Campbell. Devens won and chose to evict Campbell, a longtime ally, leaving Devens and Brown as the final two. The jury then voted for Devens, 6-1. The reported prizes were $750,000 for Devens as the season winner and $75,000 for Brown as runner-up. Devens also received $50,000 for America’s Favorite Houseguest, bringing his reported winnings from the two awards to $800,000. The fan-voted award was separate from the jury’s decision. The victory drew questions about online allegations that production had influenced the outcome.
