Razer Launches Foldable Prio Mobile Gaming Controller

Published 3 September 2026

Razer has launched the Prio, a new foldable mobile gaming controller designed to offer a full-sized experience in a pocket-sized form factor. The device, which connects directly to smartphones via USB-C, is the first product in a new line of ultraportable controllers from the company and is available for purchase starting at $99.99. The Prio's primary feature is its ability to fold down to a compact size, measuring approximately 107 x 67 x 23 mm and weighing just 101 grams. When folded, it is roughly the size of a credit card, making it significantly more portable than many existing mobile gamepads. When opened, the controller expands to accommodate phones up to 7 inches in size, including large devices like the iPhone 17 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. Despite its small size, the Prio includes a complete set of console-style controls. It features a tactile four-way D-pad, face buttons, bumpers, and triggers. A key technical detail is the use of capacitive analog thumbsticks, which Razer states are engineered to reduce stick drift by using contactless sensors instead of traditional physical contacts.
