Razer launches $300 Kiyo V2 Pro 4K webcam

Razer has announced the Kiyo V2 Pro, a $300 webcam that captures 4K video at up to 60 frames per second and adds automated image tools aimed at streamers, content creators and people using video calls. The company says the camera is available now through its website and other retailers. The device uses a Sony STARVIS 2 image sensor. Razer says its software can automatically frame a user by adjusting the image with pan, tilt and zoom, and can adjust exposure, white balance and noise levels based on the recording environment. Users can also turn to manual software controls, including adjustments to ISO and shutter speed. The Kiyo V2 Pro has an 86-degree field of view, narrower than the 93 degrees reported for the original Kiyo V2. Razer says the lens is designed to reduce distortion near the edges while maintaining detail at 4K resolution. The company also describes the camera as supporting high-dynamic-range capture, intended to retain detail in bright and dark parts of an image. The webcam includes a monitor and laptop clamp, a mount compatible with a tripod, and an integrated privacy shutter.
