Rahm’s LIV exit deal awaits court approval
Jon Rahm has reached a separation agreement with LIV Golf that would end his contractual obligations and restore control of his name, image and likeness rights, in exchange for releasing the league from his monetary claims. The agreement, filed in LIV’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy case, is scheduled for a court hearing on November 5, 2026, and is not yet final. Under the proposed terms, Rahm would have no further service or performance obligations to LIV and could join or contract with another tour, league or sponsor without the league’s consent. He would also regain the Legion XIII and RAHMBO marks, along with his personal image rights. The agreement restricts use of the Legion XIII branding in ways that suggest a current affiliation with LIV or TGL, the indoor golf league. LIV could continue operating a team under a different identity, but not market it as Legion XIII’s continuation or successor. The agreement releases LIV from Rahm’s monetary and economic claims, including unpaid prize money, bonuses and annual payments remaining under his contract. The filing does not specify the total value of the claims or the amount Rahm is giving up.
