Pakistan Overhauls Squad, Coaches After England Test Series Loss

Pakistan's cricket governing body has undertaken a dramatic mid-series overhaul of its touring squad and coaching staff in England, a move defended by national selector Aaqib Javed as a necessary response to the team's prolonged failure to compete. The Pakistan Cricket Board, led by chairman Mohsin Naqvi, released seven players and replaced head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and bowling coach Umar Gul following the team's second consecutive Test defeat, which left England with an unassailable 2-0 series lead.
