Country singer Orville Peck has revealed he once made out with an unnamed player from the Las Vegas Raiders, a personal anecdote he included in a lyric on his new album after receiving the player's permission. The disclosure, which has sparked speculation about the athlete's identity, comes from the track "Ring the Bell" on Peck's fourth studio album, "Mule," released on September 18, 2026. In the song, Peck sings, "I love the Lakers, the Mets and the Longhorns, made out with a guy on the Raiders." In an interview, the openly gay singer confirmed the line references a real encounter and that he cleared it with the player beforehand. "I did receive permission to sing that lyric from the subject in question, and he was very thrilled," Peck stated. He added that the player was "very, very honored" by the inclusion. Peck emphasized that he chose to keep the player's identity anonymous, though he suggested the individual would have been comfortable being named. "This person would have probably allowed me to say their name if I wanted, but I didn't think it was necessary," Peck explained.
