Published 1 October 2026

The Dallas Wings defeated the Golden State Valkyries 108-100 in overtime in Game 2 of their playoff series, tying it 1-1 and forcing a deciding Game 3. Arike Ogunbowale scored 45 points, the highest total in a WNBA playoff game, as Dallas recovered from an 0-1 deficit and avoided elimination. Ogunbowale’s late three-pointer tied the game at 93 in the closing seconds of regulation and sent it to overtime. She continued scoring in the extra period as Dallas pulled away. The 45-point performance surpassed the previous playoff record of 42, set by Angel McCoughtry in 2010 and later matched by other players, according to the supplied game accounts. Ogunbowale also had seven rebounds and four assists. The Wings’ win followed their 104-80 loss to Golden State in Game 1, which had left Dallas one defeat from being eliminated. The result means the teams will meet in a third game to determine which advances. Golden State’s Gabby Williams scored a career-high 36 points, but the Valkyries could not hold their lead through the final minutes of regulation and overtime.
