Bodycam Shows Taser Pointed at Bueckers During Arrest

Body camera footage from the March arrest of Dallas Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale outside Miami's E11EVEN nightclub shows a responding officer pointing a Taser at her teammate Paige Bueckers and several other players during the confrontation, a recording that surfaced this week and drew widespread reaction. The 1 minute, 48 second clip, obtained by the California Post, depicts the early morning scene on March 5, 2026, shortly after 4:20 a.m. Ogunbowale, Bueckers and a group of WNBA players, including Jackie Young, DiJonai Carrington and Napheesa Collier, along with Unrivaled host Maria Clifton, had been celebrating Mist BC's Unrivaled championship at the nightclub. According to a police incident report, Ogunbowale allegedly punched a nightclub security worker with a closed fist as staff were escorting her and her group toward a back exit following a separate, unrelated altercation inside the venue. One report states that officers observed CCTV footage from the club that was consistent with the alleged victim's account. As officers moved to detain Ogunbowale outside, the footage shows the crowd around her growing larger.
