Neurable Launches $499 Brain-Sensing Headphones

Published 2 October 2026

Neurable has launched the Neurable One, a $499 pair of headphones fitted with 12 electroencephalography (EEG) sensors that measure brain activity and feed focus and fatigue metrics to a companion app. The Boston company says the device can monitor users while they wear it and offer prompts, such as suggesting a break when it detects signs of mental fatigue. The product is available in the United States, according to Neurable’s announcement; a separate report said preorders had opened. The sensors are integrated into the headphones’ ear pads. The accompanying app presents brain activity through measures including focus, cognitive load, processing speed, sleepiness and a “brain battery” estimate of remaining mental reserves. Neurable also highlights capacity, which it describes as an estimate of how much focused work a person can sustain before burnout, and Alpha Peak Frequency, a measure of a resting brain rhythm. Neurable says the headphones begin collecting readings when worn, with longer-term records and reports intended to show how cognitive patterns shift over time.
