Microsoft Announces September 2026 Xbox Game Pass Wave 2 Titles

Microsoft has announced the second wave of Xbox Game Pass titles for September 2026, adding 13 new games to the subscription service, including major day-one releases like Gears of War EDay and Minecraft Dungeons II. The announcement also clarified that recent rumors about removing cloud gaming and day-one releases from the Ultimate tier are false. The lineup features several high-profile additions. Gears of War EDay, a prequel to the original Gears of War, will launch on October 6 as a day-one Game Pass release. Developed by The Coalition and People Can Fly, it follows Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago during the Locust invasion and includes a 12-player Horde Siege mode. Minecraft Dungeons II, a sequel to the action-RPG, arrives on September 29, also as a day-one title, introducing a new dimension called the Sift with enhanced gear systems. Dune Awakening makes its console debut on September 22, bringing a full singleplayer mode to the survival game originally released on PC in June 2025. The console version adds gamepad controls and expands the experience beyond its multiplayer roots.
