Manchester United opens survey on new Old Trafford design

Published 23 October 2026

Manchester United has opened a survey asking supporters to help shape the design and matchday experience of its proposed 100,000-seat stadium, which is planned to replace Old Trafford. The club says the design remains in development and that responses will inform its next stage. The questionnaire asks about the stadium’s atmosphere, the club’s heritage and legacy, transport and access, and the wider campus. The club says it is seeking views on how the ground should serve supporters and reflect Manchester United’s identity and matchday traditions. Collette Roche, chief executive of the club’s new stadium development, said supporter input was important to the project and that feedback would help inform decisions on atmosphere, affordability, accessibility and tradition. She said the club recognised that some fans had questions and concerns about the proposal. The survey is being distributed to season-ticket holders, cup season-ticket holders, official members and executive club members. It is also intended for people on the season-ticket waiting list and supporters who bought hospitality at Old Trafford during the past three years. Responses are due by noon on Friday, November...
