Lululemon Names Gauger Product Chief in Leadership Reshuffle
Lululemon has appointed Maggie Gauger as president and chief product officer and Joseph Godsey as chief operating officer, creating two senior roles as new CEO Heidi O’Neill reshapes the company’s leadership. The appointments take effect October 26, the company said Wednesday. Gauger, who most recently led Athleta, will oversee product, design and innovation in her new position. She spent about two decades at Nike, where she overlapped with O’Neill. Godsey’s appointment gives Lululemon a new chief operating officer role. The company did not provide further details about his responsibilities in the announcement. Lululemon said chief brand and product activation officer Nikki Neuburger and chief supply chain officer Ted Dagnese will leave on November 6 and assist with the transition. The company is also searching for a chief brand officer, chief communications officer and chief technology officer. O’Neill said the leadership changes are intended to put product, design and innovation at the center of the company’s operations and create stronger accountability for developing differentiated products.
