Latin Grammy 2026 Nominations Announced, Barrera Leads
The Latin Recording Academy announced the nominees for the 27th Latin Grammy Awards on September 16, 2026, with the ceremony scheduled to air live on November 12 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The nominations cover recordings released between June 1, 2025, and May 31, 2026. Superproducer Edgar Barrera leads the nominations, with sources reporting either 10 or 13 nods. He is recognized in major categories including Album of the Year and Song of the Year for his work on albums such as Karol G's Tropicoqueta and Carín León's Muda. Barrera is also nominated for Producer of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. He currently holds the record for the most Latin Grammy nominations, reaching 84 this year, and is tied with Residente for the most wins in the awards' history. Karol G, Rosalía, Ca7riel Paco Amoroso, and Jorge Drexler each received seven nominations. Karol G is contending for Album of the Year for Tropicoqueta and Record of the Year for Coleccionando Heridas, a duet with Marco Antonio Solís. Rosalía is nominated for Record of the Year and Album of the Year for Lux Complete Works.
