Kojima Updates OD and Physint at Xbox Tokyo Game Show

Hideo Kojima provided updates on two major projects during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026 broadcast, confirming that development on his mysterious horror game OD is progressing smoothly and announcing that actor Bill Skarsgård will star in the action espionage title Physint. Kojima stated that performance capture and ADR recording for OD, which had been paused during the SAG-AFTRA strike, resumed this year and that production is proceeding on schedule. He described OD as a "completely new kind of game that tests the thresholds of fear" and said he looks forward to sharing more information later. Actors Sophia Lillis and Hunter Schafer have delivered performances for the project, though no release window has been announced. For Physint, Kojima revealed that Bill Skarsgård, known for roles in John Wick 4 and Nosferatu, has been cast as the lead actor. He called the game the "culmination of more than 40 years of my career." The announcement follows Xbox Game Studios taking over publishing duties for the project after Sony stepped away from it earlier this year. Kojima also noted that more casting information for Physint will be shared in the near future.
