Kojima Reveals Bill Skarsgård as Lead for Xbox's Physint

Hideo Kojima has announced that actor Bill Skarsgård will play the lead role in his upcoming action-espionage video game, Physint. The reveal took place during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show broadcast on September 17, 2026. The announcement confirms a major casting decision for the project, which is now being published by Xbox after PlayStation ended its partnership with Kojima Productions. Kojima described Physint as the culmination of his 40-year career and a project that will redefine the action-espionage genre. He stated that he and Skarsgård are longtime fans of each other's work and have decided to embark on this new adventure together. The casting process included costume fittings, talent scans, and camera tests earlier this year, which Kojima said gave him tremendous confidence in the project's direction. New key art for the game was also revealed, featuring Skarsgård alongside previously announced cast member Charlee Fraser.
