JioHotstar launches in UK, Canada and Singapore

JioHotstar, the streaming platform controlled by Indian conglomerate Reliance Industries, officially launched in the United Kingdom, Canada, and Singapore on September 2, 2026, marking its first expansion outside of India. The service replaces the existing Hotstar brand in these three markets, offering a library of over 160,000 hours of entertainment content across more than 12 Asian languages. The launch introduces a new app experience that combines the content library and user interface from JioHotstar's Indian platform. It is available for download on mobile devices and connected TVs through the App Store and Google Play Store.
