Jaylen Brown Answers Anthony Edwards’ Adidas Jokes

Published 10 October 2026

Jaylen Brown responded to Anthony Edwards’s jokes about him and LeBron James in an Adidas campaign with a joke of his own during a livestream with teammate V.J. Edgecombe, turning the exchange into a public back-and-forth between the NBA players. In the livestream, Brown said Adidas should get Edwards condoms. The remark was a jab at Edwards’s private life, but the exchange was presented as playful rather than evidence of a serious dispute. No direct response from Edwards to Brown’s livestream comment was reported. Edwards had made the earlier jokes in an Adidas campaign video. He teased Brown and James about their hairlines and joked that James joined Philadelphia because the city had skilled barbers. The campaign also included a line suggesting Brown’s knees could not handle Minnesota’s cold weather, after Edwards said Brown might have joined the Timberwolves. Brown watched the video while streaming with Edgecombe and responded after it had circulated for weeks, according to the reports. He also expressed mock disbelief that Edwards had targeted him, saying he thought Edwards was his friend. The two players grew up in Georgia and have been described as longtime friends.
