India faces Bangladesh in Women's Asia Cup semifinal

India enters the knockout stage undefeated, having won all three of their group matches, while Bangladesh secured their semifinal berth with two victories from three games. Despite India's strong performance, questions linger about their middle-order batting. The team experienced a significant collapse against Thailand, losing eight wickets for just 46 runs. However, opener Shafali Verma expressed confidence in her teammates, stating that the batters are capable of performing well under pressure. "They all are very good players. They all are very good batters. And just talking about Bharti Fulmali and Richa Ghosh, they all are very good finishers and even doing the great thing in middle order as well. So, I am pretty sure they will do well for our team," Verma said. Bangladesh, on the other hand, has been lauded for its disciplined bowling attack throughout the tournament. They recently restricted Pakistan to 100 for 8 and have consistently troubled opposition batters.
