Hulu has released the official trailer for the fifth season of its reality series "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives," announcing that the new season will premiere on September 10, 2026. The upcoming installment will consist of five episodes, a shortened run compared to the show's usual ten-episode seasons, following a production pause earlier this year. The season arrives amid significant controversy and personal turmoil for the cast, often referred to as "MomTok." Production was halted in late March 2026 after a video surfaced from a 2023 domestic violence incident involving cast member Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex-partner, Dakota Mortensen. The video led ABC to postpone the premiere of Paul's season of "The Bachelorette." According to reports, filming resumed in April, but primarily involved the cast recording confessional interviews rather than new footage. Paul did not return to film these interviews, though she participated in the opening title shoot. The trailer teases the fallout from these events, with cast members hinting at undisclosed information. "There is so much stuff the public doesn't know," says Mayci Neeley in a confessional.
