Harry attends rugby match with cousin in Leicester

Published 10 October 2026

Prince Harry attended a Leicester Tigers match against Gloucester on Friday, where he was accompanied by his cousin George McCorquodale, in a public appearance during the Sussexes’ return to the United Kingdom. The match took place at Welford Road in Leicester. Harry and McCorquodale were reported together in the stands; McCorquodale is the son of Sarah McCorquodale, one of Princess Diana’s sisters. Leicester defeated Gloucester 38-31, according to one report. The outing comes several weeks after Harry and Meghan returned to Britain with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The couple have described their move as an extended stay, while retaining homes in California and Portugal. A source quoted in one report said they intend to remain in the UK at least through the school year ending next summer. Harry has previously held patronage roles with English rugby organizations. A source quoted after Friday’s match said he hopes to take Archie and Lilibet to a game once his security situation is resolved. The account also said the children support Northampton. The family has not announced a date for such an outing.
