Haas and Ocon confirm split after 2026 season

Haas and Esteban Ocon have confirmed that the driver will leave the Formula 1 team at the end of the 2026 season. The team has not named his replacement, and Ocon has not announced where he will race next. Haas said it and Ocon would part ways after the season, thanking him for his work since joining in 2025. Team principal Ayao Komatsu said Ocon’s experience and input had contributed to the team’s development of its car during a season with a major regulation change. Haas said its focus remained on the remaining races. Ocon also announced his departure in a social-media statement. He said he was proud of his performances despite circumstances he described as difficult and outside his control, and said he would continue working with the team through the end of the season. He added that leaving Haas would not mark the end of his Formula 1 career. The announcement settles Ocon’s immediate team status beyond 2026, but leaves open whether he will secure another race seat or take a different role. No successor has been confirmed by Haas.
