Gloucester score eight tries in 48-0 win over Harlequins
Gloucester beat Harlequins 48-0 at Kingsholm on Saturday, scoring eight tries and keeping the visitors scoreless in a dominant Gallagher PREM performance. The result gave Gloucester two league wins from two, while Harlequins failed to register a point. Ben Loader opened the scoring after Charlie Atkinson’s kick found the winger in space. Harlequins flanker Will Evans was sent to the sin bin for persistent team infringements in the first half, and Gloucester quickly took advantage, with Jac Morgan finishing a driving lineout. Will Trenholm added a close-range try before Charlie Atkinson crossed for the bonus-point score, putting Gloucester 24-0 ahead at halftime. Gloucester extended their lead soon after the restart. Seb Atkinson and Caolan Englefield scored in quick succession, then Will Joseph crossed following a break and offload of his own. George Barton completed the eight-try tally, with four successful conversions across the match. A further late try by Joseph was ruled out for a knock-on in the build-up, leaving Gloucester short of a half-century.
