Bath name Russell and Redpath for Exeter match

Bath Rugby named Finn Russell at fly-half and Cameron Redpath at inside centre for Friday’s Round Two Gallagher PREM match against Exeter Chiefs, with Redpath set to make his first start of the season. Exeter selected Tommy Wyatt on the wing for the fixture at The Rec, his first Premiership appearance since May 2025, according to the club’s team report. Bath enter their first home match of the season after beating Harlequins 33-17 away in the opening round. Exeter are seeking a response after losing 45-24 at home to Gloucester. The teams last met in June’s playoff semifinal, when Exeter won 27-26. Friday’s match was scheduled to kick off at 7:45 p.m. Bath head coach Johann van Graan’s starting side also includes Bernard van der Linde at scrum-half, Ollie Lawrence at outside centre and Charlie Ewels as captain. Tom Dunn returns at hooker, while Jaco Coetzee is named among the replacements after returning from injury. The announced lineup makes Redpath’s selection at inside centre one of the notable changes for the home side. Exeter’s team includes fly-half Harvey Skinner, captain Dafydd Jenkins in the second row and Henry Slade in the centres.
