FCT police arrest three over man’s death and dumped body

Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory Police Command says it has arrested Rukayat Muhammed and two workers from Good Samaritan Guest House in connection with a man’s death and the movement of his body to a roadside beneath Katampe Bridge in Abuja. Police have not established how or when the man died, and the investigation is ongoing. The man’s body was discovered on August 26, 2026, beneath the bridge along the Kubwa Expressway, after his family had reported him missing, according to FCT Commissioner of Police Ahmed Sanusi. Police said investigators confirmed the body belonged to the missing man. His identity has not been disclosed in the reports. Sanusi said the woman, identified as Muhammed, and the man had stayed at Good Samaritan Guest House on Second Avenue in Gwarimpa. According to the commissioner’s account, Muhammed told investigators that she found the man no longer breathing. He said she left the guest house with the man’s phone without first notifying police. Police say the phone was missing and had been switched off. Investigators used its last known communications to identify Muhammed, Sanusi said.
