The scenes’ broader meaning and their precise connection to Doomsday have not been fully explained. In the revised ending, Loki arrives at Steve and Peggy’s home and offers to help them. At a New York screening Q&A, director Anthony Russo described the moment as pivotal, saying it was where Doomsday is born. He did not explain what Loki intends to do or how the couple’s story leads to the events of the later film. Another added sequence shows Banner in an underground facility discussing work on a treatment to suppress gamma radiation. Doctor Doom then confronts him. Accounts describe Doom saying he has come to collect Banner, but the scene’s full outcome and Doom’s purpose remain unclear. The footage does not establish whether Doom succeeds in taking Banner or what he might want from him. A separate scene depicts TVA staff monitoring universes colliding.
