Dua Lipa Eats Hot Dog as Rays Sweep Yankees

Dua Lipa was photographed eating a hot dog during the New York Yankees’ playoff game against the Tampa Bay Rays at Yankee Stadium on October 7, as the Rays won 4-3 to complete a three-game sweep and end the Yankees’ postseason run. The singer attended Game 3 of the American League Division Series with her husband, actor Callum Turner. Images and broadcast footage showed the couple seated behind home plate, where cameras captured Lipa taking a bite of the hot dog during the game. The image circulated online the following morning and drew humorous reactions from social media users. Laurence Leavy, a baseball fan known as Marlins Man, was seated nearby and spoke with the couple. In posts on X, Leavy said it was Lipa’s first baseball game and her first American hot dog. He also described her as friendly and said he had wished the newly married couple many years of happiness. The claim about Lipa’s firsts came from Leavy, not from a statement by Lipa. His wording specified an American hot dog, a narrower description than simply calling it her first hot dog. The available images establish that she ate one at the game, but do not establish whether she had eaten one before.
