Donald Out for Rams, Nacua Expected Back Against Eagles
Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay ruled defensive tackle Aaron Donald out of Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles because of back soreness, while receiver Puka Nacua is expected to return after missing the team’s previous two games. Nacua had no injury designation on Friday’s practice report, according to the team’s status information. Donald missed practice throughout the week before McVay announced Friday that he would not play. McVay said the back soreness had emerged the previous week. He described Donald as capable of playing productively but said it would be irresponsible to ask him to play while he was not feeling well enough. Donald has four tackles, one tackle for loss and one quarterback hit in two appearances this season, after sitting out the opener while returning from retirement. Nacua is set to play for the first time since the season opener, when he caught five passes for 74 yards against the San Francisco 49ers. He missed games against the New York Giants and Denver Broncos after sustaining a hip and groin injury during practice.
